I agree with the review by Breakfastisbest. The server was weird and the food was average at best. They rushed us even though they did not need the table. MMS.

the breakfast here was not great at all. the server was weird, rushing our table even though the restaurant was empty. the food was average at best, and the whole atmosphere/ experience kinda made me wish i never went.

Sam's is, far and away, much better than any breakfast cafe that I've encountered on Solano Ave. Sure, it's not been around as long as Walker's Pie Shop, but the food is so much better.

The pancakes are the best that I've ever had at any restaurant: They are very light and fluffy, not hard or doughy at all. Their selection of baked goods is delicious. Their meats -- bacon and ham -- all come from a local organic vendor, Hobbs. Eggs are organic and tasty. Coffee is always fresh, and the proprietor has a smile for you.
