You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Everyone is friendly. The service was great and the food was excellent. The variety of breakfast foods and fresh baked goods are great. We had pancakes, eggs, and bacon and I must say it was probably the best we've had in a long time. I love Cracker Barrel for breakfast but this place beats them hands down. The restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch and closes at 2:30pm. We will return!!

The Bakery Mill & Deli is the best breakfast restaurant in the Gainesville area hands down. To start off, the servers are personable and friendly, which helps give the mill that "southern style bakery"atmosphere to it. The breakfast platters are delicious, and very much worth the money for the quantity received. Be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table if dining on the weekends.

Was I just served left-over coffee from yesterday? It sure tastes like it! I am not impressed with the bagel either. Honestly, I've had a better meal from a convenience store! The pastries were pretty good, but I would only eat here again if I had no other options.

This was a horrible place to take my family for breakfast. The atmosphere is drab, food lousy, and owners/cooks are miserable. Someone actually spit on the window in anger while we were eating. Gross.

A family-owned bakery known for their rich and varied muffins, the Bakery Mill and Deli is a good place to get a tasty breakfast. I usually get a breakfast BLT or a bagel and a cup of coffee. I also usually order a muffin or two for the road.

The pancakes are always fluffy, the cook knows what eggs over medium should look like, and the grits are always just right. In fact, they have most everything you'd expect for a southern-style breakfast (their biscuits and gravy are especially nice). On mornings when I'm not in the mood for eggs or pancakes, I've ordered off the lunch menu with very little fuss. My only problem with the food is that a few months ago, they stopped serving real butter and started serving butter-flavored spread at the table (icky!).

Getting a seat is tough on a weekend morning -- word has gotten out. Seating is based on the "if it's empty, grab it" model. The servers don't seat you, and most often they will be cleaning the tables after you sat down but before they take your order.

Which leads into my only problem with the Bakery Mill and Deli: their service. They don't have nearly enough servers for the crowds that move through there on the weekends. It's a very good thing that they don't mind you getting up and helping yourself to refills. The servers try to keep your coffee topped off, but they just can't keep up with it. Also, most times you have to remind them several times that you'd like butter, syrup, jelly, and, oh yes, silverware.

But the muffins make up for it, in my less-than-humble opinion. If you don’t have time to wait, just walk up to the cash register and order take out.
