This is a great restaurant for breakfast in Mckinney TX. They have wonderful panckakes, eggs, and specialty coffees.

I love Spoons. The food is great (especially the panckakes and waffes), and the pies and cakes are some of the best I have ever had. Fun atmosphere.

Upon entering, asked to pick a table. Chose one near the window. Told, "Well, we have a new waiter and he needs practise, so no." We were then directed to another table, maybe a foot away with no window. This was on Friday, October 31 @10am - the place was empty.
Order of plain waffle with a side of bacon, coffee, 3 egg western omelet, side of rye toast and water,
Lukewarm coffee served w/o spoon. Waffle cold, but well made, bacon burned to a crisp, omelet hot, but no way 3 egg, cottage fries and toast ice cold.
Decided to try pie. Crust was excellent, but artificial topping was horrible and chocolate cream was not mixed well: actually dry and powdery in spots. Reasonable prices, when quality not factored in. On the whole, TERRIBLE. Not worth your time, money or effort - parking is a chore.

Best waffle I've ever had! Service is good, although you might have to ask for refills. Nice atmosphere. The muffins are out of this world.

Great, laid back, locally-owned and run breakfast place located just off of Historic Downtown McKinney Square. Excellent traditional egg dishes as well as variations on southwestern/mexican egg dishes. Excellent salads. Fantastic adult grilled cheese and tomato basil soup combo. If you're a bacon fan, they're apple bacon is the best I've ever had... enjoy!
