I have gone to Poor Boys for years, before and after renovations. The food has consistantly been great > I rate breakfast diners mainly by their fries - and no one has better fries than Poor Boys. All of their dishes are the best, and the waitresses are friendly, funny and efficent. By far the best place around for breakfast.

This is one of our favorite places for breakfast in the state. Usually crowded on weekends, the staff does a great job of clearing tables to minimize wait time.This restaurant is far superior to the Rt 28 Roadhouse. The food is much better it is served quickly. The home fries are delicious as are most of the egg dishes. You will find your coffee cup rarely empty and the service staff is friendly and professional.

While the homefries were very dry, the eggs were cooked to perfection. Eggs that are moist, not crunchy, all white with no hint of brown, these eggs would make a classically trained, french chef proud. I applaud you, Poor Boys, excellent eggs.
If I had my choice, I would get my eggs from Poor Boys and everything else from the Rt.28 Roadhouse, right down the street.

Most items served are very good, home fries , omelets are stand outs. Prices are very reasonable and the service is very good. Your coffee cup will rarely be empty. Crowded on weekend mornings,no problem getting into on weekdays.

Try the lobster omolette. Home fries are dry as stated by another reviewer. Good service, good food, decent prices

Just recently went there. I did not like the home fries, too dry. The waitresses gave plenty of coffee but it was weak. The service was great though, very friendly.

Poor Boy's has been renovated last year. It has a very comfy relaxed atmosphere. No more fluorescent lighting. Vintage and retro art hangs on the walls and on shelving. The food is all homemade, and always consistant. Open for breakfast,lunch and dinner.

And Jan.1,2007 they are going all non-smoking!!
