This will be our go-to stop between Michigan City Indiana and St. Louis now. The Greek Omelet was delicious. The hash browns were hand cut. Now--I think the pancakes tasted like they were from a mix. They were not special. But the omelet was so good and I'll order it again.

food is excellent don't compare to zorbas &dennys.The grilled cheese complaint is bogus, they have it on the menu for 4.99 not 6.95!

This is a good home style place. They have the BEST Omelettes I've ever had. We drive across the town to enjoy our brunch at Uncle Tom's on a regular basis. My husband orders other items from the menu, i.e. skillets, breakfast specials, etc., and always likes whatever he orders. Thanks to the owners and their staff for their tasty meal and efforts!

They seem unwilling to make a grilled cheese sandwich worth the $6.95 charge. Service is poor. Management has a grudge (for some reason).

I've only been to this location a few times. I used to be a regular at the location in IAA Drive in Bloomington, but they've sold that restaurant. Everything on the breakfast menu that I've tried is great. If you have time to linger, go for the baked pecan pancake, and ask for it topped with apples. Puffy, hot and covered with apples and powdered sugar, you'll have to share it with a friend, it's that huge. The steak and egg breakfast is a great deal at $5.99. A reasonably sized and very tender and flavourful steak is paired with eggs, toast, and hashbrowns. The waffles are wonderful, and they come in the usual varieties, plain, with fruit, with pecans, and even with bacon! The gyro omelette is huge and while it sounds odd, gyro meat goes very well with eggs. This is a family-owned business, and they take a great interest in their customers. The location is just off the ISU exit for I-55, and around the frontage road. It's not huge, but the food is great. The tiny space and the fact that, when last I was there, they permitted smoking, is why it doesn't get an awesome.
