Having to walk through the smoking room to get to the nonsmoking area is bad.
Canned bechamel is worse.
Never trust a diner that doesn't allow truck parking.

The worst pasta ever is what I have to say. I praise the lord that no one picks the pasta or the clam chowder becuase they tasted like crap and as a result I am having 3am diarrhea. The waitress seemed very cold and this was sadly the worst diner I have ever been to. My first and last time to eat diner experience, FML!!!!!

I waitressed at Time to Eat Diner for about five years on and off prior to graduating from college. I recently went in there to see the makeover, visit my old boss Chris, and say hello to Apryl who is a close friend of mine. I actually met Apryl during my 5 year stint at Time to Eat. She was a wonderful waitress who took on far more responsablity than she should have, even when Sue was there. Prior to the diner closing and long before I left, the diner was always full of drama and tension, and waitresses who were wonderful would leave because of it. From what I see now, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and issues that customers have are handled professionally so they do return. Although several of the women who worked there prior to the renovations did not go back, they have either moved on from waitressing or are at other diners. As far as going in there because of who is there or who is not, that whole thing is very childish. I will always have much love and respect for the women who work there and Chris because that is where my roots are. I was able to get my life together working there and I have a lot of gratitude for that. I would even go back a work a shift just for old times sake. Chris was absolutely wonderful to work for. However, I will not deny how extremely difficult it was working there under Sue and how many women left because of that. From what I understand, it is no longer like that and it is a very pleasant place to work and eat. Cheers!!

I would like to respond to coffelvr's comments regarding Apryl and Sue. Sue was not a very friendly person to deal with. Don't know what you're talking about, I'm glad she is gone. The atmosphere is so much more pleasant and professional. Apryl is a great manager with a wonderful personality and I wouldn't stop going there. The food is great. It is your loss not going in there because of Sue. By the way...how old are you? Grow up!

I have patronized several diners in the area and none compares to the Time To Eat Diner, it is the best. The Managers are nice and personable, one came to my table and chatted with me and my friend a few minutes. I also asked Apryl, one of the managers, where Sue was and she politely told me she was no longer working there. She didn't get snippy with me but then maybe I didn't give her the third degree on apparently a business decision that "is" no ones business. Only two or three waitresses who worked there before came back to the dayshift, I don't know where the first reviewer got the notion that they are the worst, seems to me that they brought back the best and got rid of old baggage. All the waitresses that have waited on me were friendly and the food is served rather quickly. The diner looks great since the renovation, all the desserts are made on a daily basis, (been there several mornings in a row and saw the baker bringing out fresh pastries, muffins and cakes each day). The diner has a warm, cozy atmosphere. This diner will do great...has been, even though some faces are missing. Some people I have heard in passing say they like it better than before!!!

I LOVE this diner for a few reasons: 1.) The food is excellent and blows any other diner out of the water. 2.) The place is always clean 3.) Since the renovations, the place is updated nicely, and they even have a bread baking oven in the front where they make fresh bread. 4.) All of the desserts are labeled and unlike other diners the desserts are not 100 days old.
Although Sue was not asked to come back, that is no reason why I wouldn't enjoy a good meal or cup of coffee there. I had a few different waitresses when I went and they served me perfectly fine.
It's quite irrelevant that Sue isn't there anymore. maybe the new manager was snippy with you because it was personal business. You go to a diner to eat, not watch a Soap Opera.

I was a customer here before renovating and will not be returning unfortunately. The food is as good as ever but the atmosphere is and will never be the same. I was shocked to find out Sue was not asked back yet they did ask back some of the worst waitresses in the business. I will assume this was Apryl's decision whom is now in charge of the front. A little tip to those whom were friendly with Sue don't ask where she is because when I did Apryl bit my head off and was very snippy with her tone. All I can say now to the owners is good luck because you are going to need it and to returning customers i've been told Sue is at The Stiling House so go there to see her!
