This place offers a completely unique and interesting dining experience, which make you feel like you have been transported to a completely differnet place and time. If you were blindfolded and brought to Alta Coffee, you would never know you were in Orange County: you might guess you were somewhere in a small town in, say, northern california in 1960 maybe 1970?? It really gives you the down home feeling, yet still reamins hip and modern at the same time. From the original art by local artists on the wall, to the mismatched tableware, to the funky outside garden dining, this reastaurant is a totally fun experience. The food is fresh and healthy, and the bakery items are to-die-for. Love it!!!!

Alta is a great place for breakfast. There are a lot of options, from simple bagels, muffins and quiche to fullblown pancakes, breakfast burritos, homemade granola, etc.. The atmosphere is great and the food is very tasty. It has a lot of vegetarian options. All the coffee and teas are organic. The service is very friendly. It is a great place to study but also to hang out with friends. Good for lunch and dinner as well. Entertainment on weekends. Great alternative to chain coffee shops.
