THE RESTAURANT AT GUSTO DI ITALIA THE SERVICE IS
REALLY BAD I WENT THERE IN 2007 THE FOOD IN
BREAKFAST HORRIBLE AND ALSO THE RESTUARANT WAS
VERY DIRTY IN THE MORNINGS. SO WE WENT TO ANOTHER
PLACE AND TO EAT IN THE OLD SAN JUAN.

This hotel was under construction when I stayed there (Feb ‘07). It was VERY loud – so I’d recommend calling first to confirm the renovations are complete before making reservations. As for breakfast – the service in the hotel restaurant – Gusto di Italia - was horrible, and the food wasn’t any better. I had the Lobster Eggs Benedict. The eggs were undercooked with runny whites; the toasted English muffin was completely soggy; the hollandaise sauce had separated and was clumpy; and the lobster chunks were chewy, and tasted fishy. The “hash browns” were prefabricated patties a la McDonald’s style – and even those were cold. I nominate this as the Worst Breakfast in Puerto Rico!
