Wow your writers were right on. This was a great experience for food and service. I would second all of your comments of 5 star food, quality, service and more.

Any time I travel to Yosemite National Park I will stop again and again!

Absolutely the best breakfast I have ever had and I’m from the south where they know how to fix some vittles. I highly recommend this place for breakfast and yes it is always going to be crowded but the turnover is quick and they have a bar for those who don’t want to wait. We sat at the bar and received excellent service, met the owner and even got our meal comp’d. We live in Bakersfield and will continue to make this our choice for breakfast.

"If" you should find yourself in Bakersfield, Cope's Knotty Pine Cafe is the place to go. Steak and eggs was perfect and a New York to boot. Biscuits and gravy was very, very good, the service was great too. Maybe a bit hard to find, it is located near the airport, but well worth finding!

Go early or you will wait...

If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air, don't go to Bakersfield Ca. But if you're in Ca. and anywhere near the 5 or SR 99, please make time for this excellent breakfast stop.
The service is wonderful, the atmosphere just what you want at breakfast time, and the food is oh so good.
We went on Sunday morning at 7:00AM and there was no waiting, but I can imagine the wait at any other time. It would be worth it.
May Cope's Knotty Pine Cafe be there when I return this way and may you get to go.

I live about 90 miles away from Cope's and go into withdrawal if I don't visit regularly. After several years of being a customer, I find the quality and excellent service combined with VALUE has remained constant. The best (and largest) chicken fried steaks, omelets are tremendous and a secret chili verde that will please almost everyone. If you arrive late for breakfast (or even if not) try the homemade chili or do like I do and buy some to take home. The only drawback to Cope's is finding a parking place and if you arrive on the weekend expect a wait. Please wait for a table because you will not be disappointed.

The quality of the food is just like home, but you do not have to clean up after yourself, LOL. The portions are very large. Our favorite is the Chicken Fried Steak, but you could not go wrong with any of the selections. The help is all so nice and they want to make this breakfast your best yet.
I think I'll go right now and take my wife out of the kitchen. "kid's, you fix some of that wonderful cold cereal for yourselves and we will be home real soon."
