Ernie's is a great place to eat breakfast or lunch. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and the food always tasty. I visit the Lake several times a year and I always eat at Ernies several times a visit. Good menu variety with a local and different flair to the choices.

great place to eat while you are in tahoe. I highly reccomend it.

Homey, friendly atmosphere. You can sit at the counter if you're in a hurry to be seated. You might have to wait if you're there at peak breakfast and lunch hours. But it moves along quickly. You won't have to wait for long. They close at 2:00. Try the homefries (ask for them crispy). Everything is fabulous. Been in existence for over 30 years. Recently moved across the street to its new location. Bigger now, more seating. You won't have to look for the waitress to serve more coffee. Burgers are fantastic. Try the design-your-own salad. You fill out the form and they fix it for you. It's huge! I can't name everything that's great.
