billys in the most disgusting place to eat, if you WORK there you know this, he saves old food to serve . he will sit in his tall chair and judge every person that walks through the door and will threaten to call the cops on anyone he doesnt like. He treats his waitress's like there slaves and calls them dumb@ss's and useless. he wont tell the ladies what they make in credit cards and wont even let them look themselves. He will get in a younge girls face and yell to make them intimidated. this man is a horrible person and if it werent for his location would be out of buisness...its ashame that more people dont know this.

i have lived in the poconos most of my life and have never been to Billys Diner until this past Sunday 6/5/11. I must say the service was great breakfast was served quick and i even had a chance to tell Billy himself that the food was great because he was siiting 3 stools down from me reading the paper. However when i got the check "WOW" i ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a hard roll and it cost $9.45 by itself. WTF is this guy thinking? he charged me $1.25 for a slice of cheese and even more for the roll. I will never go back again. he should be locked up. my fault for not using the menue though.

As a local business person, I have had the opportunity to eat at Billy's many times. Whether you're in a suit or jeans, the atmosphere is always friendly and comfortable. Service is great, food is fresh, and the kitchen and restaurant are always clean!!!

The owner makes sure all customers are satisfied and works hard to make sure you're comfortable. He came to me and asked if I'd like him to hang my coat (where do you get that kind of service?).

Try the soups, the stuffed cabbage at dinner is excellent. Make sure you bring your appetite, and be ready to take a doggie bag home. Oh, and leave room for the homemade pies.

Even being able to go anywhere in the poconos i still chose billy's pocono diner. They always greet you with a smile and the service is pretty fast. The prices are excellent too. If you want a nice family diner this would be perfect.

Owner was extremely rude to our family -- waitress added on extra charges for food we didn't even order. When asking the waitress, she told us to ask the owner about the extra charges, he responded by threatening to call the cops...all infront of our kid! Keep in mind, our bill was under 20 bucks & we had already paid for the meal and tipped the waitress! Looking back on the situation, we should have asked for all of our money back...our food was terrible & the owner's attitude really rubbed us the wrong way.

owner was rude, offensive, and threatened to call the police when i told him that I honestly did not like the food (while paying the bill)

I've eaten at Billy's all my life, The food is amazing and I wouldn't even consider it "typical" diner food. Breakfast all day is great. As far as dinner goes, I would never eat Fish at any other diner but Billy's. I usually get the salmon and it is so tasty and juicy. Everything is always warm and tasty. If you are looking for good food, go to billys, It is great for children, families, and parties of all sizes!!

P.S. The mash potatoes are Great!

I regularly eat at Billy's with my 3 children. We have never been disappointed in the food or the service. Our meals have always been served fast and delicious. What more could you ask for? How about the best service in the Poconos. The waitresses are always pleasant and accomodating. Breakfast is wonderful (served all day), as well as everything else on the menu. If you get a chance, GO TO BILLY'S!!!!!

I had found a piece of hard plastic in my mashed potatoes and they tried to get me to pay for the potatoes. I didnt eat the turkey or the vegetable. I just started eating and found the hard plastic. The owner gave me a hard time and tried to get the money for the mashed potatoes. I told him to call the police. It is a good thing that I didnt cut my mouth or swallow the plastic. and he was worried about 5 cents worth of potatoes. After that incident I never returned there, knowing how he conducts business and treats his customers.

We ordered eggs, sausage, pancakes, bacon and scrapple. All items were prepared above par. Seating was comfortable. Service was friendly.
The prices charged were very reasonable notwithstanding the tourist trade in the area.
We really liked this place. Unfortunately, it's about two and a half hours from home.

i must say i was there the morning of the incident

he was there three hours befor me just starred at people. and was asked to leave three times. the officer only asked him for id,he screamed at the officer did not comply with any requests from them thats why he was brought outside. i dont think thats how a vet should act. the food and service is fantastic.

I dined here last week! This diner is awesome and I love the state of PA. :)

The coffee was nice and fresh- the eggs were cooked well (I hate when I get an omelette and it's runny and undercooked. I would come here again.

As you enter the diner, you're greeted by a statue of a waiving bear in a chef's hat. For me, this was the first of many indicators that Billy's is a friendly place to have a meal.

Our waitress sat us immediately. She was very pleasant and made us feel at home. It was obvious that she cared about her customers.

I ordered a spinach and cheese omelet. My traveling companion ordered some eggs, pancakes, a ham steak and a side of Pennsylvania's famous scrapple.

The food came out quickly and was served with a smile. Everything tasted great. Personally, I don't care for scrapple, but my buddy reported that it was very good if you are a fan of cornmeal simmered with pork scraps.

There are a few things Billy's could do to improve their breakfasts. The little plastic boxes of pancake syrup could be replaced by syrup pitchers. The hash browns seemed to be the type bought from a grocery warehouse. The coffee could be a touch stronger.

But all things considered, give me a somewhat-better-than average meal served with warmth and caring over a super-spectacular meal served by a jerk any day.

Our server made sure our coffee cups were always full. When our bellies were full, there were some pancakes and toast still left on our plates. Our waitress was concerned. I suspect that most Pennsylvanians have bigger appetites than us sissies from California. "Were the pancakes okay? Can I get you something else instead?" We assured her that we enojyed our meals. We just couldn't finish the large portions.

Breakfast at Billy's is more than just a meal. It's a great way to start your day.

An omelet with a side of friendliness... now that's a breakfast!
