Breakfast is the best you will eat and it is made to order! The french toast cannot be topped!

It is a nice little place, tucked in a somewhat hard-to-find location, but that made it kind of fun. Reminded me a lot of the mom-and-pop diner I used to go to back home. The service was ok, as the wait staff seemed more inclined to converse with one another than actually take our order or refill my coffee (and it didn't taste very good). They were friendly but not very quick to provide service. Pete (the owner?) was not there though, so this may have influenced this fact. The french toast was good and the pancakes were small, light and fluffy. If you like lighter options for breakfast (it wasn't overly filling, but got the job done, I guess), this is a cozy little place with a traditional menu and nothing fancy for a decent price.

Frank's is an Ann Arbor institution that few people know about. It's easy to miss, located next to the bike shop on Maynard (by the parking garage). Once you make it in and manage to eat there, you never forget it. Pete (the one and only cook) makes the BEST French Toast EVER. His relatives (I think they're his daughters?) are the only wait staff. Frank's has been open forever and I think it sports its original decor - so don't judge it by its look, judge it by its French Toast!
