Terrible start to what was a promising day,to start the coffee was terrible and luke warm as of its maybe been sitting around and even with 4 sugars there was minimal change. My breakfast, which had little to no taste and was extremely disappointing I didn't even eat more than 5% of the way. When the waitress noticed this she said, "oh I'm sorry to hear that, ugh well have a nice day" real accommodating and professional seeing as she works off tips. When asked at the front counter how my meal was, I explained and she then stated, "well people eat here all the time and it's always the same items so, yeah idk". I got to say without a doubt THE worst customer service imaginable, one would assume their main focus is to keep the paying customer happy and even if the food was gross and bland, maybe try and be a little more courteous and have pride within supporting the standards that their long lasting business represents. None of which was shown here, it was basically...oh well, cash or card sir. I feel if I were older they would've shown me a bit more of the respect I should have been shown or maybe didn't charge me for a meal I didn't eat or maybe, just maybe try to fox the situation or come to a more amicable solution rather than flat out basically saying oh well. I'm not surprised after reviewing this restaurant online and seeing the numerous low grades it's received that this was my experience. Extremely unprofessional, it's not the fact that food was terrible so much as how unmanageable the service was, not being able to handle a situation like this was truly disappointing.

Middletown Pancake house has very friendly workers. They stay on their toes to please each and every customer. The food is delicious and it is certainly the cleanest restaurant you will ever enter. This family takes real pride in their business!!

I went couple times when I was visiting NJ. I am dreaming pancakes and eggs. I wish if I had the recipes in my country I would try to open a panckake house. Service excellent owners very warm. The best dont miss it.

Has three general types of pancakes: buttermilk, buckwheat and cornmeal. There is a reasonable selection of pancakes with toppings and a good selection of egg dishes. The scrambled eggs with home fries was wonderful! The presentation of the pancakes was below par. The pancakes themselves were pretty good. Tea was one little tea bag in a thermos server. The coffee was a little thick. We went the end of June and the wait staff was okay. The total tab, including tip, was less than what we have experienced elsewhere.
