On the previous writing the couple stopped at Paula's Pancake House on their way to Pismo Beach. That is exactly what we do! We drive from Fort Mohave, Arizona to Torrance (stay overnight at parents house) then getting a fairly early start, head up the coast to Solvang. This a quaint Danish style cafe only open for breakfast and lunch. The Danish Pancakes are to die for! We just love them. Freshly squeezed orange juice, hot coffee and good service! There is dining inside and nice sidewalk seating outdoors under umbrellas. Driving up from Buellton at the 101 Fwy., Paula's Pancakes will be on the left side of the road with tricky, angled parking to the front of the businesses. By all means, enjoy! John & Nina

My husband and I had breakfast here on a Wednesday morning on our way to Pismo Beach. Our breakfast was very good. I especially enjoyed the Danish pancakes with fruit topping. The staff is fast and efficient. I ordered the Danish pancakes with fresh blueberries and my husband had the apple cinnamon topping. They were both delicious! We have been stopping at Paula's for years if were are traveling anywhere on the California Central Coast.
