Thinking I was going to Ned's, I was surprised to find Ned's had become EAT. By the end of my meal, I have to say it was a very, very happy surprise. The new owners have completely maintained the atmosphere of a local hangout. And the food is great. You wouldn't really expect this kind of food from a place that is wedged in between thrift shops and body piercing joints. I had the basil artichoke scramble and my husband had the carnitas, which I believe was a weekend special. Mine was delicious. He was blown away by his. The service was really efficient and friendly. Even though it was pretty busy, the food came out quickly and I never had to ask for a coffee refill, which by the way is a really rich roast.

What a breath of fresh air in Noho.
Small and tidy. Brighty colored, friendly staff. Honestly, I know it is noho but it kind of felt silverlakeish..but nicer.

I ordered a egg white omlette with artichoke hearts and it was delicious. I would have gone with the potatoes which I saw on other patron's plates (say that fast) but I was on a diet and went for the fresh fruit. It was all great. Even the fresh fruit. Some restaurants kind of phone it in with fresh fruit (tasteless unripe) but not Eat. All fresh and very flavorful.

It is wildly convenient to the Red Line terminus and I highly recommend it to people who get off the line and want a bite. about a six minute walk.
