It used to be very good but has really slipped in the last few years. The Blueberry Pancakes were worth the trip but recently are inconsistant in size are often undercooked. Today the batter was old as they did not rise at all.When you pay over $12 for pancakes bacon and coffee and can't eat them I'm thinking twice about ever going back.Coffee is average, could be stronger.
Nips are still great but the fries taste like cardboard. The soup is always hearty. Server Linda at the St Anne's location is a hoot!

I wish these guys would open a chain of restaurants in B.C. and show the West how to do it right.The Cheeseburgers were always ordered in pairs by me and the coffee was always there.Guess I`ll have to make a trip back to the PEG soon but don`t tell the Mosquitoes.

I know that, as a Winnipeger, I am supposed to love Sals. But I don't. The food is just gross and greasy, and not in a good greasy way either. I've never eaten anything there that I could honestly say I haven't had better somewhere else, for the same price or less.

Sals is a Winnipeg institution. You can have breakfast at 9am or 1am---anytime of the day or night you can get your bacon fix.

You may even spot Burton Cummings there...another Wpg Institution :)
