A classic breakfast shop... good coffee and excellent chocolate chip pancakes.

The food ,portions and prices can't be beat! The service is outstanding and everyone is so friendly. Kathy was our hostess and made us feel welcome. We'll be back again the next time we visit Bellefonte.

Affiliated with the Waffle Shops in State College, PA, most comments applicable to those restaraunts apply here. Good food, good menu selection. Best values are the Quick Start specials available weekdays. One warning, this restaurant still has smoking at the counter, which can absolutely ruin your dining experience if you're seated in the downstairs portiion (and sometimes even near the stairs, given the open seating plan... a no smoking table less than ten feet away from someone smoking, with nothing in between but air, is just bone-headed planning and a throwback to another time.) That being said, the food is fresh and delightful; the thick cut bacon is especially good, as is the Nest Egg, a house specialty with home fries, eggs, vegetables and cheese piled high. Service here is sometimes not as crisp as the state college locations, but overall generally pretty good.
