I just looked up a resturant for dinner, and decided to see what other places were around. Ive been going to Shannas for many years and have never had bad service or food. It sounds like a old cook or waitress wanted to get even. Anyone that has enjoyed eating at Shannas would read right though the two ratings I just read. The one thing I learn today is not to believe everything you read. If I didnt enjoy a resturant I just write that its average. you must be a very unhappy person.try to smile god loves you.

READ THE WONDERFUL REVIEWS POSTED AND HAD NO PROBLEM DECIDING ON A NEW PLACE TO GO.
I DON'T KNOW WHO WROTE THOSE WONDERFUL REVIEWS (MAYBE THE EMPLOYEES OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT)
WELL THAT WAS MY FIRST MISTAKE
BUT BASED ON THE SERVICE AND FOOD I RECEIVED TODAY I DIDN'T EXPERIENCE ANYTHING THAT THEY SAID
I WAS NEVER OFFERED A REFILL ON THE ONLY CUP OF COFFEE I GOT, ORDERED STEAK AND EGGS , STEAK TO BE COOKED MEDIUM RARE BUT GOT SHOELEATHER
THE SERVER WHO BROUGHT OUT OUR FOOD (NOT THE SAME SERVER THAT TOOK OUR ORDER)BROUGHT OUR BREAKFAST CHECK WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING AND NEVER OFFERED ANY REFILLS ON WATER OR COFFEE
THIS WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME HERE
I REALLY MISS BICKFORDS BELLAS IN GLENDALE HAS A EXCELLANT SUNDAY BRUNCH BUFFET

I saw the good reviews and decided to try this place. Big mistake. We got the Eggs Benedict (side of sausage) and the Delmonico steak (medium) and eggs.

The problems we ran into:
1. The service was terrible. The place wasn't even full and we only saw our waitress once (when she took the order). Never came back to check on food or to refill coffee, but rushed over with the bill while we were still eating.
2. The steak was ordered medium, and came out WELL DONE. Almost like shoe leather.
3. Didn't get the toast with the eggs benedict like the menu said.
4. Toast for steak and eggs had no butter.
5. Sausage grossly overcooked.
6. Egg portions were pathetic. The egg covered 1/4 of the english muffin on the benedict.
Overall, waste of $21 and was very disappointing.

Serving Rhode Island for twenty years, this warm cozy restaurant offers great food & outstanding service. Particularly known for their over-sized omelets & their biscuits and gravy. The food is delicious and great portions. Let's just say it is worth the trip.

I really enjoy eating at shannas they where very friendly, service was short and sweet and the coffee kept on flowing.Its a great place to meet old and new friends and sit and relax.
