Just not good! The service was fair, with good diner attitude. But in exchange for the grumpy service, we deserve at least an edible breakfast! The pancakes were ordered well done and delivered uncooked in the middle. My omelette was dry in the middle and cold on the edges with burnt bacon. The toast was buttered (or margarined) as if it was rationed. Wake up, if this is the best San Jose can do for breakfast, its a disgrace.

Visited the San Jose Cafe on Wednesday about 10:30am. Staff and owner, Sandra, were very attentive. I found the menu to have moderate pricing and a large selection of items to choose from. The waiter recommended several items. I had the "Cal-Benedict" with a side of "Blueberry Pancakes". Both items were presented nicely and the flavor was very good! The next time I am in San Jose again, I highly recommend this establishment and will definitely visit The San Jose Cafe again! A+++

Great food, nice variety. They have wonderful breakfasts and not just the run of the mill. Their ingredients are fresh and the service is unbelievably friendly. They're very attentive. The menu has many offerings for breakfast and lunch both of which are served all day and you get lots of choices with them. For breakfast you can get toast, biscuit, homemade cinnamon roll... with your order. For lunch you can get fries, garlic fries, onion rings... The choices come with your meal, no additional charge. Great place, have been there 4 times and it was great every time. They have nice kids selections as well.
