Everytime I have been there the bathroom is just plain nasty and stinks of urine the food was not good at all it looked good but was terrible and it took 25 plus minutes for me to get my food everytime I have been there and the st johns neighborhood watch leader said the cooks are sex offenders and felons no thanks

i go to christies every sunday and more if possible. i love their food! the bacon is the best ANYWHERE ! THEIR FRENCH TOAST THE BEST EVER!
THE CORNED BEEF HASH TO DIE FOR. they do make their food fresh for sure...from scratch for most things it seems. i have had hollandaise from scratch that wasnt as good as theirs.if it is a package its a good one.who cares,? who doesnt when you're that bz? OH THEY KNOW HOW TO COOK. the biscuits are without a doubt scratch made and FANTASTIC ! i have tried many places in the couv and portland,nothing even comes close to this darling unpretentous family restaurant. it's clean, friendly,great menu and reasonably priced especially for the quality as well as quantity. THEY ARE GOOD BUT THEY DONT HAVE THE ATTITUDE THAT USUALLY GOES WITH IT IN PORTLAND.GIMME A BREAK !most places half this good are small,so you have to wait outside for a table,good luck getting your food anytime soon,AND they are rude and act like you owe them the wait!no thanks i think this restaurant is worth talking about the outstanding stuff most of the other is trivial nitpicky stuff not worth the space. CHRISTIES...you are AWESOME! AND THE PLACE LOOKS GREAT AND JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME! THANK YOU

Christies says they make their food scratch, and it would be great if they did, the problem is they don't. I've tried breakfast there twice and have been disappointed both times. I asked if they made their hollandaise from scratch and the waiter said yes, but then when I ordered the eggs bennie, it was a package hollandaise. When I asked them about it, they said, since they made it from the package, in the restaurant, they thought that they weren't misleading anybody. Sad, someone should teach them how to cook.

breakfast is awesome! best menu and quality in n.portland. lots of room very clean and comfortable very nice selection for any price range. they have free wifi,espresso and good music!

i go there every weekend with my husband. i love the building the food and the staff. the breakfast is awesome.they have beautiful fresh fruit in the spring and summer.great latte's and a clean nice environment.they also have wonderful baked goods and homemade cinnamon rolls on the weekends.they're awesome too...!!!
