Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and although it is burger lust lunch that makes Louie M crowded & famous, breakfast is absolutely lovely here. Take the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast test, and compare with prior experiences. (I occasionally want Amwerican, but it is South Omaha's diversity that shines here, and warms tummies.) If you are lucky, try the Cajun-style Pork Chop Special weekend breakfast with O'Brien hash brown, or cubed potatoes. Fruit is also available in lieu. If you love Italian, go to menu items, Italian Steak or Italian Sausage. Louie serves Orsi Italian bread, and no restaurant has a greater variety of condiments you probably won't need. I've also loved Chorizo (recall "Midnight Run") & Italian Omelettes. The service is real, and a little salty. Pecan pancakes or Strawberry pancakes taste great and serve as desert on hungry weekends. We go every Saturday morning to Louie M. I kid you not. You will not regret it.

While famous for its burgers, it's hard to beat breakfast here. I always have the corned beef hash -- REAL hash, not from a can. Great atmosphere, great food.
