Persy's claim to fame has always been its vast selection of breakfast dishes, but by including lunch as well, they have over-extended their abilities. With so many types of food to prepare, nothing they serve ends up tasting good. The food is bland and made stale by excess time under heat lamps. Most meals have the tired taste of cafeteria fare. Go here only if you are very, very hungry, and don't mind sitting in cramped, noisy rooms.

Everyone I know loves the menu choices, quality, and friendly atmosphere. Persys is the "best."

My family all love Persys. The service is prompt, the new building is beautiful, and a family member is the head cook [and she really cares about preserving, preparing and presenting the now famous family recipes]. And the country store next to Persys, Hollyberries, is a fun stop across the parking lot. Take from a regular, you'll love it too.

Give me a break! It was awful. Waited a bit, and it was NOT worth the wait. Had to take out a small loan for a glass of "freshly squeezed" o.j. The oranges should have done a dance for the price I paid for oj. The pancakes were like rubber discs, and the egg whites were brown on my plate, full of grease. Never again.

Don't let the line keep you away, they have a good staff and get you seated very quickly...and the line is there because they are very, very good.

Everyone I know thinks this was the best breakfast restaurant south of Boston, maybe the best in New England. We're glad they are rebuilding and we'll be their.

Persy's is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over rated. The food is awful, at ALL locations. The waitstaff is horrendous....Need I say more? What Kingston needs is more breakfast places, not another Persy's! Won't ever go there...

So Persy's is coming back to Kingston with a bigger building and more parking...and keeping their downtown Plymouth restaurant open. Everyone I know is thrilled. If you've been to either, you know what I mean. If you're new to the area, you've got a new reason to go out for breakfast.

Ok, so apparently, you must be an employee or family member. Persey's, back in the day, was amazing...then...as time went on, and cooks became scarce, the food started to become, over a period of time, really, really bad. So, I, as well as the other "Persey's Place Bad Commenter", feel pretty much the same. Years ago, was amazing, right before they closed due to the fire....GROSS, the others?, even worse. So, you go Persey's Brown Noser....food is awful, as well as everything else! Ha...Nice Try.

We were regular customers at the Persy's place in Kingston for many years. They knew us and they knew the importantant events in our life. They gave us a basket full of great memories as well as always friendly service and a breakfast my "out of town company" would request on their visits. We are thrilled to see the new bigger barnlike building going up [replacing the old one lost to fire 3 years ago] and scheduled to open late June. WE'LL BE THERE.

Aa for review 13390 and 13386 [suspiciously close to each other, especially for a restaurant that has not been open for 3 years], I have 4 thoughts.
1) Grease fires don't wait to start many hours after closing [as I recall, the fire started around midnight, they close at 3 in the afternoon].
2) A little simpathy for the family and the loss of their first restaurant might have been nice.
3) Good news, the person writing that nasty review probably won't be sitting at the next to you.
4) Better news, they probably got turned down for a job and won't be cooking your food.
Take it from me, GO TO PERSY'S, YOU'LL LOVE IT.

I just drove by the site of the original Persy's. Good news. they are rebuilding and due to open this summer, and a Country Store [Hollyberries] is going next to them. This was my favorite restaurant, I'm thrilled.
