JRB Tyler, Texas 09/16/2011 I went there for my evening meal and ordered the Breakfast Sampler. I told the waiter very specifically that I wanted my eggs OVER WELL. I DO NOT like to eat them with a spoon, and want them cooked very done & firm. When the plate was delivered, I noticed that they were NOT cooked well done, and were runny. I was in a hurry and did not have time to send the plate back. I complained to the waiter, and he went over & appeared to say something to the cooks. But no one offered an apology nor offered to redo the order. The meal was cold, especially the pancakes. And the meats looked as if they'd been cooked that morning. I finished the meal, then went to check out. I complained to the checker, whom I assumed to be the manager. He just had a silly grin on his face, made no excuses,was not apologetic, nor did he at least offer to reduce the price...or whatever. I have been there 3 other times within the past year, and each time the meal was cold, and my eggs were NOT cooked as I ordered. That is the last time I will ever set foot in the place, including the new one I understand may be built soon on Hwy 110 south. Extremely poor operation, very loosely run, with no regard for the feelings nor cooking orders of their customers. I also noticed something very unprofessional: a woman waiter and one of the male waiters stood in front of the register smooching and hugging each other. Whomever is the owner of that place needs to be made aware of what is going on there, as it is one of the most unprofessionally run restaurants I have ever visited. As I said...I won't go back.

Service was SLOOOW... the people next to us were loud and obnoxious as was thier fav music which they played on and on and sang off key on and on some people actually left bur the manager never said a word even though he seated us and was well awrare of thier loud talking and poor taste jokes and profanity. He lost at least 5 customers that I know of and I don't live in Tyler. Thats why I didn't leave I was doubtful that another place was open in Tyler so felt we had to just put up with it. No more from here on out I'll go to Dennys or Waffle House.

Only come to this IHOP prepared to wait for 90 minutes to get your order. The staff seems not to know whether there is a smoking section some days, and what comes with what order.

The food is ok, but definitely not worth the guaranteed wait no matter what time of day you come.

I dont know about the other comments, but i found this ihop to be excellent. The service was great! My belgian waffle was cooked to a golden brown. I recommend this ihop to anyone and everyone.

you can never get in, there is always a waiting line hanging out the door so we end up going somewhere else. bet the other places in town love that yall are too stupid to add on or built another one in tyler. i love to eat there but am not going to set and wait for 2 hrs to get a seat and that is not a lie. we like to go on a sat or sun morning but we have just decided to forget ever even trying to go to Ihop. guess you can afford to lose the business. i don't care if you use my name just don't want to log in: dianne alexander rt 2 box 3185 bullard tx 75757 903-894-8965

I am a Registered Nurse and me and my girlfriend Michele have eaten at dozens of Ihops over the years. she is a travel Nurse and I met her at the Ihop in Tyler last week. I had informed the nice geentleman who seated us before she came that I had been waiting six months to see her.

The waiter/manager was a really nice guy and considerate. Michele and I had a really great time talking and have talked at plenty of ihops previously over the years. We had not talked for more than 30 minutes when the hostess named Belinda asked me if we could give our table up.

I was speechless and my reunion with Michele was totally ruined !!! Neither one of us have ever been treated in such a manner we were not rude, we are professionals and as such usually, dine at the finest resteraunts in town. I did not know what to see so we left but I will never eat at Ihop again and I do not appreciate their treatment at all it was inconsiderate and thoughtless!!!

If you are going to meet a friend do not go to Ihop in Tyler, Texas!!!!!!!!!!!
