I was taken by the place on walking in. It just kept getting better, as I watched the service and food prep. My meal was great. The treatment of me as a customer - just awesome. I'm from southern Calif., now wish I was local. If you haven't eaten there in awhile...you owe it to yourself to go there. Thanks,

David Young

Great breakfast and ok service for as busy as they are. Its a railroad dining car made into a diner. Very cool. The breakfasts are really good and you won't leave hungry. Its a little noisy, but that is to be expected in a busy place like this.

This place is magical! Stepping back in time and dining in an old train dining car is part of the magic, but the breakfast was amazing, I kept telling my husband how much I loved their eggs, (usually I do not like eating eggs for breakfast:) Our waitress was definetly a "career waitress" and asked our 2 year old ,"And what would the little engineer like to eat?" He loved being the little train engineer! (even if it was just for breakfast:) Great for families, singles, couples, old and young! Loved Franks!

Frank's Diner (partly because it is a train) is often thought of as Spokanes best. It is very good, but not up with Knight's (which is much harder to get to) and Cafe Marron. Their basic breakfast is good, eggs not greasy, toast basic but good.

Franks is a great place to go for breakfast any time of the day. It is a true breakfast lovers paradise. With it's unique location in an old Pullman dining car, eating at Franks is also an interesting step back into local railroad history. The staff at Franks is extremely hard working and makes sure the you get great food fast. This is not a location to conduct a breakfast meeting though as seating is very limited because of the limited space in the train car. Potion sizes are very generous and the food is great.

Franks has been voted best breakfast in Spokane 11 years running. Well worth it. Easy off/on the Interstate so we've adopted it as our stop between MT and Seattle. The location at 2nd & Walnut is actually an old rail dining car converted into a picturesque restaurant. Hand crafted food. For some entertainment, sit at the counter and watch the kitchen staff do their thing. Poetry in motion for sure.
