Can't get a better breakfast for what you spend. You won't leave hungry (be prepared for a doggie bag!). Everything is cooked to order so it might take a little longer than at a chain restaurant, but it's well worth it. Everything is fresh - sometimes you'll even see Yvonne carrying in the produce for the day! Unlike chain breakfast restaurants, the eggs, etc aren't greasy from being overloaded with oil and grease in the kitchen. If you're not in the mood for breakfast, Yvonne's does lunch and dinner as well. Overall, a great place to eat!

I have gone to this restaurant for 9 years now. I have never seen a restaurant go down as quickly as this one recently has.

The food tskes forever, the service is unprofessional, no one seems to know what they are doing, well I shouldnt say that there is one woman janet who is still there and she is trying to keep things going but looks like she has no help.

This place was quality breakfast now not good at all!! Needs a lot of help!!!!

WAY TO GO YVONNE!! Excellent job refreshing ideas
renovating...tastefully decorating...innovating as well as adding some fabulous new items to the menu. Yvonne & her new staff members are very warm, friendly & polite. The new bathroom & cleanliness overall was long over due.

Go experience it for yourself.

The previous writer is correct. I was there on the weekend and Patty is still there. THe place has been remodeled and looks good. The food is still great especially at breakfast time. We all apprecite Patty's cooking and with the new look it is a very nice place. I have not met Yvonne yet but I am sure I will since we are there quite a bit in the summer. Ladies stay together and you will have a fantastic place. Patty dont go we enjoy seeing you and as always love your food.

Funny thing about all this is Patty is still there!!No one can complain about the food because she is still cooking it. The breakfast menu is exactly the same as it was which is a good thing. Yvonne has added some new things to the lunch and dinner menu. With Patty still there and Yvonne adding some ideas this place can become a superb restaurant. Hope these two ladies can stay together. The food Patty makes is excellent and with Yvonnes new look it is great. Good job u 2!!!!

Kudos to Yvonne's Cafe and Yvonne...for taking over a tired establishment... then...renovating... innovating...and continuing to serve up a healthy "real" breakfast with whole wheat english muffins to boot in Ocean Grove... this type of business execution is what Ocean Grove needs... and there is nothing like sitting outside enjoying her tempting menu delights...Good Luck with the new business...I'll be back again soon!

Elsewhere on this site a reviewer writes under Patty K's that they are not as friendly here as when it was Patty's and that the food was not as good. We had only been to Patty K's a couple of times. The atmosphere seems the same but Yvonne's is cleaner. The wait staff still seems to be finding it's way. We met Yvonne and she seems to know what she's doing. I had a Jersey Omelette with (what else) Pork Roll, egg, good American cheese, onions, etc. It was served with also good home fries. I opted for a toasted English instead of toast and got a Whole Wheat english muffin!! My wife had Lemon Poppy French Toast which I sampled. It was different and delicious. I saw enormous pancakes being delivered to another table. Have to try that next time. I think this place will do well. They serve an actual breakfast which is now hard to find in Ocean Grove unless you stay at a B & B, now that Daily Grind is just a bagels, muffins and coffee. Other than Starving Artists, Nagles and now Dorians on the Ocean there is no other place. Plus you get the atmosphere of eating outside on tree lined Main St. Give it a try. BTW, they now have a newly installed clean bathroom which takes away from some floor space but was apparently required.
