Crazy Otto's is GREAT. I've had the corned beef hash and eggs, hamburger steak and eggs, and chicken fried steak and eggs. All have been magnificent.
If your a Thousand Trails member, they will give you a 10% discount. (Soledad Canyon TT is 4 miles away).
If not, hopefully the "train" will go through and the wheel will spin. You'll get that when you eat here!

Trying to find any kind of restaurant along the deserted stretches of I-14 between LA and the Sierras is a challenge... You're lucky if you can find an occasional McDonald's... but... Otto's is a GEM tucked into a little old non-descript strip mall off of the Santiago exit (exit #26)... This little place boasts being awarded the best breakfast in the Antelope Valley for the past 14 consecutive years, and they indeed deserve it... We were there last Saturday morning about 9am, and although it was crowded we were seated immediately... The server was running ragged, but was very cheerful and friendly... She was more than happy to 'customize' my order (an indication of really good customer service)... and ... They get their produce locally so they are ignoring the current comtaminated tomato scare that has many other places in America afraid to serve them... They also had beautiful fresh serranos to go along with my great big beautiful red tomato slices... They're open from 6am to 2pm, and also have 2 other locations in the Antelope Valley that we plan to try when passing through the area again...
