I ate at the Fleetwood in kentwood, MI. I loved the food. My Hippie breakfast was made perfectly with all of the veggies grilled and the feta crumbled. I was impressed with the overall feel of the diner, laidback yet running very efficently. I did not have to wait for service and the server was very prompt and friendly. My food arrived at the table in a short peroid of time. I was impressed because it was Satuday morning. I think for the so-so location this restaurant is the place for breakfast-fast, good food that you won't empty your wallet on.

By far the best value in Grand Rapids area Fleetwood diner is an institution with Ann Arbor the original location.Eggs are always cooked perfect never a long wait and great service.How can you beat all omelletes $5.59 on sat and sun mornings.Seems like the previous poster doesn't get out much to compare whats good and whats not.They don't sell liquor anymore.

This restaurant has a great location and very little nearby competition. One would then think that the Fleetwood Diner would often be overflowing with customers. However, this is rarely the case. The problem starts with the service quality. On my visits, the friendliness of staff has been average at best...typically friendly, but often slow and lacking in attentiveness. It also seems like there is an exceptionally long wait from time of ordering until the food arrives at the table. Now, Fleetwood does have an extensive menu with some unique items, mostly of a greek style. However, the food seems to lack flavor and it often abnormally greasy. It would appear to an outsider that the owners have not yet realized what niche their restaurant should fill. The locale has a liquor license, is open late, and seems to focus on creating a reputation as a dinner destination for the discriminating, high-end customer. This is not, however, what the area needs nor what one would expect from a 50's style diner. If the owners place a focus on better service and better tasting breakfast and lunch items, the Fleetwood Diner will be a hit. However, as it is now I cannot reccommend this restaurant.
