Hands-down, the best breakfast place near Chicago! Huge menu! Expect a long wait, but they have complementary coffee for you.

Great ambiance!

The wait staff are great!

My husband and I always make sure to visit this lovely cafe everytime we go to Chicago. The staff is wonderful, the food is exceptional. Everything from tiramisu pancakes to dutch baby's, skillets with homemade corn beef hash to amazing omellets! The waffles are amazing, as well as the selections of coffees and teas. Plus, the Wildberry Jam (homemade) is out of this world! It's priced very well, but the ambience is exquisite! Lovely mahogany pillars and roaring fireplaces makes it feel like you are on vacation in the mountains. My personal recommendation: The Homemade Corned beef hash skillet, with pancakes, toast, and two homemade sausage patties, along with a steaming hot cup of white hot chocolate. This is a must for any sailor getting out of boot camp down the road!
