You can NOT go to Gatlinburg and not stop here. This place is awesome. I cant get myself to ever order anything other than the unbelievable french toast...best youve ever eaten. Comes with creamy cinnamon butter and syrup that is to die for. It is a large portion so I usually order meat/eggs and split the toast with another person. If you go on Saturday, you better get there when we do...at like 6-630 am! Set your alarm clock early for this one b/c you will be dissapointed to get there and have to wait in line, b/c the lines are LONG. Service is short and to the point. ok, im making myself really hungry now...i gotta go. p.s. i read online that there is another one in Nashville...hmmmm that makes me excited...ill have to check it out.

An absolutely wonderful place for pancakes. It is crowded inside and the lines start out the door. However, it is worth the wait. Service is OK considering the number of tables assigned to each waitress/waiter. The variety of pancakes is simply amazing. Try this place when you visit Gatlinburg and you won't be disappointed. There are many "pancake" restaurants in Gatlinburg, but this one is the best.

I agree that the correct name is "Pancake Pantry" from the description of the German style roof. We ate there in March and found the food excellent. Since we chose the "off season" we didn't experience the waits that other reviews spoke of. For the best pancakes in the world, our family picks Gatlinburg's "Pancake Pantry".

The Pancake Pantry is one of our two favorite places to eat breakfast in the whole world. (The other is The Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge, TN) The food is awesome, the portions wonderful, and the prices appropriate. I always order the Strawberry Crepes. My wife always has the Chocolate Chip Pancakes. My kids try everything. When we plan a trip to the Smokey Mountains, the first question from my kids is, "When can we eat at the Pancake Pantry?"

I read one of the reviews that said the food was not worth the price or wait.......This person has a right to his/her opinion, but they are obviously a employee of another restaurant.
You will not find a better place to eat breakfast. The regular pancakes have a unique flavor you will find nowhere else. Not to mention the dozens of types of pancakes available.
Lines of people cannot be wrong, you will love it.

Review #685 is incorrect...it's the Pancake Pantry, not Palace. And it's excellant. I've stopped in at least 2-3 times per vacation week (yearly) for the last 20 years. The variety is unbelievable and it's all delicious, including lunch. Try the sister shop in Nashville.

I Loved this Dining experiance.
The place was PACKED (a line arround the building and down the street a bit)
but we were seated within 25 minutes.
The food was Outstanding and the service was prompt and polite and it didnt cost a small fortune.
I Highly reccomend this Place.
