Before my recent visit to Holland I checked these reviews. Sounded like a sure bet for a yummy breakfast. I was not disappointed. I was the first customer on Saturday and Sunday morning. I was given a great table with a view overlooking the Washington Square district. The menu was fabulous! From creative to ordinary there was something for everyone. I enjoyed the Pulled Pork Hash and the biscuits were from Heaven. I will be sure to return to "The Biscuit".

My family and I were visiting Holland Mi for vacation this summer. We stumbled across The Biscuit and we sure do feel lucky! We ate there 4 times during our 6 day stay. The place is decorated very well and the food is excellent. I am a bit of a sausage gravy snob and they have some of the best that I have had. The waffles, pancakes and french toast are all standouts. I am sure the other stuff would be great because it sure looked good when it passed our table.
The Biscuit will be a regular during our visits to Holland MI.

If I could give 10 eggs, I would. I had called with a special request for my 94 year old father-in-law who has just moved to Holland. They went above and beyond and made my father-in-law's breakfast very very special. Our family had never been there and they treated us all like they had known us for years. Kudos to the whole staff!

I enjoy eating at the the Biscuit almost everyday! Their staff is extremely welcoming, and the food is wonderful. I enjoy visiting the biscuit ladies very much on my lunch breaks, and the owner is down to earth and kind. The biscuit is a nice addition to Holland, and I hope it continues to do well in the years to come.

I ate here for the first time today. It was a very good experience. The ambiance is warm and attractive with personal touches. It fits the quirky and quaint location perfectly and there is no chance that you'll confuse it with Denny's. The people are quite friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. My friend and I shared a "Nor'easter" omelet--apples, white cheddar and thyme. SO different and yummy. It came with excellent herbed potato cubes and a generous, soft moist biscuit. Sometimes homemade biscuits have a strong baking powder taste, but not these. I had tea which was infused loose tea, not a bag, and we had marmalade/jams/butter or honey to choose from for our biscuits. I can't wait to go back. There are both meaty and vegetarian selections; breakfast and lunch are served. I'm not sure what "hipster" means, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't describe me and I loved it. I think most people could happily coexist in this charming addition to Holland's culinary scene. :)

The Biscuit is a beautiful restaurant. The interior design looks to have been planned by a professional and the food is uniquely fun and delicious. I'd say that the best part is the "service with a smile". The friendly staff and owners make me wish I could enjoy their company everyday!

The Biscuit is a bright spot--both literally and figuratively--nestled among the many empty storefronts in Washington Square. One look at the menu convinced us that we'd be back again if the food was as deliciously different as it sounded. With specialties ranging from unique omelets, including one with pulled pork hash and another with apples & white cheddar, to a tempting variety of griddled specialties (I chose the cinnamon French toast, but almost went for the cherry granola whole wheat pancakes), there's something for every taste. And if you're in the mood for something extra sweet, you can check out the "Dessert for Breakfast" section of the menu.
A hipster vibe--conveyed by brightly colored walls, coffee you might actually want to drink, and REM music--combines with a Southern flair, manifested in the signature biscuits & pulled pork, to produce a sort of "urban comfort food" dining experience. The restaurant is still finding its niche in terms of atmosphere and styling of food. So expect fresh and tasty fare, if not flashy presentation or plate-covering portions.
My first visit has convinced me that I'll definitely be back to try the pancakes, and to see how the restaurant is developing!
