The food is fabulous and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had an omelet called The Steel. It was absolutely delicious and included mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic, gouda cheese and applewood smoked bacon. It was served with some of the best home-fries I have ever had and thick-cut whole wheat toast. My husband had the short stack of french toast (2 good sized slices) and the bread was so good. It had small bits of cinnamon baked in. I like my french toast drenched in the egg and then still a bit moist when I eat it, but his was a bit on the dry side. My husband liked it this way and enjoyed the side of applewood bacon (a side was 6 slices) nicely crisped. Our waitress was very nice and welcomed us when we told her this was our first visit. We will definitely be back!

Blue Sky Café is a true find on the south side. All of the basics are offered, and prepared exceptionally well. The pancakes are extraordinary! The Sweet Potato Quesadilla is worth the trip to this artistically adorned gem.
