I have been going to the Nanuet Diner for years. The service is usually very good, as is the food. However,I had a very fishy fish dinner last week. This week I wanted to order the tilapia fish dinner and asked the waiter if the tilapia was fresh. He became extremely rude. He said,"no fish in this restaurant is fresh". Then he said," In this country, all the food is fresh". I asked him if he could recommend a fresh fish for this evening...he became indignant and repeated, "no..no fish is fresh".
I have never been treated so poorly. I am always respectful of waiters and waitresses regardless of their country of origin. I respect people who are sincere about bettering their lives and work hard for it. If they serve me in any capacity,...I am respectful of them and usually receive kindess and respect in return.
Very disappointed with the freshness of food and the "freshiness" of the Nanuet Diner.

This was a very nice diner.
The service was Qwuick and polite as soon as we walk in the door.
My son got a turkey burger and my wife got a grill cheese.
They both came with a lot of big fries.
I got greek salad that tasted good and was so huge that I was full and took a great deal back to my Hotel
We be going next year again on our way to the All Ireland Fleadh.
The no smoking is always a plus

i dont know how anyone could say anything bad about this place i live i nanuet and this i my favorait dinner maybe some of u dont like it because ur racist aginst the people who work there or u are not used to the new york no smoking laws

I am from England and visited the Nanuet Diner in 1999. It was possibly the best breakfast I ever had. We don't really have diners like this in England. The level of service and good food was unforgetable. Well done!

Prices were outstanding, and you get more food than any one person can eat. I had a lunch special, and it easily filled me up for lunch, dinner, and still had some leftovers after that (and I'm a big eater). Food was excellent quality. Service was very slow. It took forever to get someone to take our order (it was a medium size group of 5) and just as long to get refills or the bill afterwards. But the food made up for it.

This was the worst diner I've been to in years.1) the seats are too close. 2) you have to wait to get service 3) there is no smoking section. The three things above are what Greek diners in the northeast are known for. This is an outrage, completely un-American.
