They're a little hit or miss. I've had a great omelet there over the summer, went back in the fall, ordered the same thing and it wasn't cooked through all the way. But, I sent it back and they were nice about it. Service is a little on the slow side... maybe understaffed? It's been there a long time. Maybe they're just in a temporary rut. I'll try again in a few weeks.

This place has terrible service and is run by a bunch of teenagers who don't care about customer service. We had to wait while people one by one came up to pay, the restaurant was about 50% full and one side had all the tables open. That's the side we were eventually seated and we watching is disgust while those tables fill up with people and those people all received their breakfast before we did. It took 45 minutes after we walked in until we were finally served our dry and lame omelettes.

This was a waste of time, I'm not into franchise food but Shari's down the street is better then this place.

Been eating at Hales for 20+ years and weekly for 3-4 years. This is the best breakfast in Hillsboro with great omeletes and pancakes. Quality has been consistent every time.

Hale's has things you just can't get anywhere else. For one thing, they serve bone-in pork chops, 3/4 inch, cooked to perfection without being too done or too greasy. They also have probably the BEST pancakes I've ever tasted, including my own. They are made from scratch, unusual in a restaurant of this type. It has an unassuming front, looking like something out of the 80s, but it hides a wonderful breakfasts within. I've been there four times now since we moved here. If you are lucky and get Tina and Linda to be your servers, well good, but all the gals are fantastic. The cooks do eggs-over-medium PERFECTLY ever single time. They do an omelet that is gigantamous, SPOT-ON hashbrowns, and you can even get pancakes with your pork chop or chops (either 1 or 2) instead of hashbrowns for no extra charge! And again, these pancakes are FANTASTIC. You feel great in the booths or the tables, because Hale's is just plain comfy - everyone there seems relaxed and the staff actually seems HAPPY. There is one other place that has comparable food - check out my review of Biscuits Cafe in Beaverton for another wonderful place to eat.
