I have to revise my previous rating after a terrible experience yesterday reminded me of this restaurant's flaws.

The servers have a catty attitude, which could be considered casual or playful if the service was outstanding. Instead, the service comes off as rude. My order was wrong (eggs prepared wrong, no toast, meat rare/raw). They seem to ration the syrup since it was repeatedly taken from our table for others. Also, the chef-coming-out-to-greet-customers thing is not appetizing when his uniform has days-old food stains.

Considering this restaurant's ready seating while the other Alberta Street breakfast joints have ridiculous lines, the neighborhood locals may know about this restaurant too.

Pleasant environment (ooh, tablecloth!) featuring rich breakfast dishes. Chef often comes out to greet customers.

Expect a line on weekends, but the wait is usually reasonable. Servers are friendly and prompt.
