This place is the best for breakfast in Chattanooga. I love the corned beef hash with eggs. They skillet cook the potatoes crisp with chunks of real corned beef, not the mushy stuff. Then top it with eggs cooked how you want and an awesome biscuit, fluffy and moist. Yum! The omelet with feta and spinach is really good too, and the bacon is delicious! There is usually a wait but it is definitely worth it. The service is always good, friendly and attentive.

This place is not for those who enjoy a good traditional Southern breakfast. It is different and sometimes that is what we all need. They are great at what they do which is offer variety in a breakfast menu and regular breakfast item ingredients. I don't think this is the best breakfast place (personally) I have been to but know a lot of people who love the atmosphere, family, and the food. Anyone can see that by the full tables most mornings. I am just more of a traditionalist and prefer places like Wally's and Longhorn, and Lillie Maes.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better breakfast restuarant. The atmosphere is inviting and the aromas are drawing. The restaurant is owned and operated by a Greek family with the dad cooking and the mom and kids serving; they all do a fantastic job. So much so, that if you go on a Saturday morning after 9 AM, then expect to wait up to an hour. The omelets are a big hit and the special usually includes a unique quiche. Get the cheese grits. The biscuits are fluffy, delicious, and homemade (which is hard to find these days). Good bacon (I tried the jalapeno bacon once and I'm not man enough to go back). Cinnamon rolls are big, but go for the real breakfast first. Enjoy your coffee from a one-of-a-kind mug, since every mug in the restaurant is different. Love this place!

Ditto to the above comments...but no one mentioned that the excellent cooking, fresh ingredients and efficient service is provided by ONE beautiful FAMILY of 5! From the youngest (maybe 10?) to the oldest (Dad in the kitchen) these people make breakfast in their restaurant equivalent to eating in the most congenial home! They work together cheerfully and seem like they're choreographed. So, the good food and cheerful service is complimented by just being with these nice people!

Oh. my. Where to begin? Biscuits? Divine! They're ginormous and appear to be made with whole wheat flour or something--so light and delicious.
Try out the special of the day--we had great luck with that. And the frittatas--normally not a fan, but the Mediterranean Frittata put a tear in my eye--in the good way. Really interesting combinations and great ingredients.
Bluegrass Grill is located in a lovely art-filled neighborhood that comfortable and hip. The dining area is relatively intimate, so you might want to arrive early to get a seat or just be OK with a tiny wait.

The Bluegrass Grill boasts a bounty of breakfast dishes, including a selection of delectable 3-egg omelets (or create your own), country breakfasts, 4-cheese grits, and red potato home fries sautéed in garlic and onion.
You’ll love the made-from-scratch biscuits, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, muffins, granola, and French toast made from your choice of house-baked breads.
Tastefully and rustically appointed in a turn-of-the-century building (circa 1904), this place screams “ATMOSPHERE!” Get there early because when the crowd arrives, the service can get spotty.
Great lunch menu, too.
