Visited for breakfast. The portions are generous. Too much oil is used to cook hash browns and omelette. The vegetables used in the omelette were fresh and not over-cooked.

Unfortunately the oatmeal is instant. :(

WARNING, BEWARE they add a 18% tip for orders of $25 or more and they don’t tell you. When I caught the mistake at the car and went back to complain (less than ten minutes later) they told me there policy was 18% tip for orders of $25 or more and that it was clearly marked on there menu and if I left in total a 45% tip that was on me. I did grab a menu to see and what it said was 18% Gratuity for Parties of 6 or More NOT 18% tip for orders of $25 or more. So again BEWARE! Rip-off. I will not go back.
The City Diner is a place I should love it has a cool retro vibe with plenty of sidewalk seating to watch the happenings of this hip neighborhood, and they have my favorite Eggs Benedicts. The food is average along with the services (had to get up to refill our coffee twice)

South City Diner serves breakfast at all hours. The food is very good. They offer a wide variety of breakfasts with great biscuits and gravy, pancakes, omlettes,as well as Chorizo eggs, and breakfast burritos. Everything is prepared well and is delicious. The decor is fifties diner, with old vinyl covers as wall decorations. Very hip and nastaglgic
