Yes, it's in a residential neighboorhood and parking can be challenging. Yes, it has limited inside seating - 4 tables that seat 4 and 7 seats at the bar, so if it's cold outside as it was last weekend you may get a little chilly waiting for a seat. We waited outside for a while then stood inside till we got a table. It was worth the wait - food was very good, pancakes and biscuits awesome. I had scrambled eggs/polish sausage and cheese, wow, unique and full of flavor. If you want hassel free parking and merely fair to poor food there are many franchise restaurants to choose from. Nothing really good ever comes easy so get that sense of adventure going and give this place a shot. Coffee hot, bold - delicious. Get off your ass and do something different!

Tried to go here but parking is the WORST. Nestled in a neighborhood setting with maybe 5 places to park. And if you are in a full size truck you won't fit. So we didn't stop

Been here a few times, it's okay. The pancakes are pretty big, they are kind of dense so they sit hard in your stomach. They aren't the best pancakes I've ever had but they are decent. Eggs, bacon and home fries are ok, they come with a huge rock hard dry buscuit. Average breakfast nothing special. The problem with this place is if you order anything extra it starts to get pricey and the wait is not worth it. It is a cute restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. The service is ok, they just do their job. I don't eat there anymore.

This is certainly not the best breakfast in Chattanooga. I just stumbled across this listing and had to throw my 2 cents in.. how this place became so popular is beyond me. I can walk there in 3 mins.. but I still don't go because it is overrated and I hate wasting money. If you like longer waits and pricey mediocre food...give it a try. I am sure they have their good days.
Best breakfast in town...hard to say as I have not been to them all..but I would say Lillie Maes in Red Bank or Wallys downtown really offer great food at a fraction of the price Aretha's or Bluegrass charge.

This place is like the cooler older cousin you wanted to be when you grew up--but only if your cousin could cook like a total foodie freakshow. I had first heard about this place when I googled "Food Network" and "Chattanooga" It obviously was featured on a Rachel Ray $40 a day thing or something.
We opted to skip the famous "Waffle of Insane Greatness" (extra points for clever menu copywriting) on the recommendation of our adorable server who suggested the pancake, which I can only assume contained bits of ground up angels. It was soooo unspeakable good--and unique. It almost tasted like it had corn meal dusted on it.
We also had a spinach and feta omelet. I love a place that commits to great ingredients, and they do.
The place has fabulous atmosphere and is nestled in a neighborhood setting, so you'll feel a little Hansel and Gretel getting there, but do it. It's not far at all from downtown Chattanooga. Check it out online at arethas.com
