My sister and I recently ate here for the first time Friday morning 10/18/13. First, the interior blew me away - it was gorgeous and immaculate. Service was spot on - she was extremely attentive to all our needs. After ordering, we waited next-to-nothing for the food to arrive. I ordered the Pancake Wrapper and it was an excellent taste treat. And as suggested, it WAS great with syrup. I also ordered the scrapple (which is getting harder and harder to find lately) and it was "toasted" to perfection. There was a lot of food for the money. And even though the coffee came in a carafe, our waitress always made sure we were topped-off. All-in-all, I really liked this place and look forward to a return visit.

I would like to start by saying that anyone on here saying there is no wait in this restaurant is either blind or passing by at 3pm! I worked in this restaurant from day 1. The place was always packed on weekends and even week nights. I worked 3 days a week, made 1,000 a week at least, and never had one complaint! Not only is the owner completely hands on, more than any owner I have ever worked for or come in contact with anywhere. The food is usually good, of course every restaurant has a few issues here and there but he orders good quality food and spares no expense. He offers immense variety and healthy options.
Also, the person saying it "said whole wheat roll" in the menu should have their eyes checked, like I said I have been there from day one and am very capable of reading and understanding the menu and I assure you it never said "whole wheat roll," that was a choice of white, whole wheat or rye bread. They did have wheat wraps available and I am sure they still do, as they were popular.
The person who is so offended by the BENNY situation is a complete and utter idiot. Not only am I and most of the people who worked there, as well as the manager he is complaining about "Bennies," but so is the OWNER! He is a Bayonne native. "BENNY" is a term used to shorten eggs Benedict.
If you have not given this place a shot, please do. He really has weeded out the horrible servers (everywhere has them, but he has done his best to only keep the best of the best!) It is worth the time and money to stop in and judge for yourself! I wish I hadn't moved because I would still be working and eating there!

i have been to this restuarant with my family plenty of times and everything is delicious and the service is great, i think most off these reviews are from jealous people who may own other restuarants near by and i would be too, considering every friday, saturday, and sunday there is a wait..i got the buffet last week and it was great! and the place was also fulll... so to the people who say they suck and this and this youre obviously wrong if the place is full.. also the girls there are great to my children they love it there too!

The food at IHOP is better. The place keeps "winning" awards because the owner and his buddies have nothing better to do but go oline a vote for themselves over and over. He's also posted 90% of the positive reviews on this site himself. Once again he has nothing better to do because his place is never busy. For a small diner with SUCH "good" food you would think one would have to wait to get in but nope you can walk right in to the place. The locals avoid it, we know the food and service are horrible. Maybe the owner should add applying to Kitchen Nightmares to his online time?

We'd eaten here in the past and it was decent. We hadn't been there in a while and decided to stop there for lunch today and man did this place go down hill fast! The service sucked and the food sucked more.
The server was awful, literally expecting us to order the second we sat down even before picking up the menus. She paced up and down huffing and puffing while we decided. I suppose this is because the place was mostly empty,at lunch time on a summer Sat, and had nothing better to do. We waited forever for our food, she just walked up and dumped it on the table and walked away. She didn't check on until we were almost done which was an issue since she brought me the wrong order, never offered refills on drinks or cleared plates. It was like she was annoyed we were making her work. And we had to wait at least 15 minutes for the check which again she just threw on the table.
As for the food it was so awful I'll never go back. I ordered a gyro burger but was served the greek burger. The burger was greasy to the point of not being able to pick it up to eat and the meat tasted off and not fresh. The sweet potato fries for which I paid extra were stone cold and soggy. The coleslaw was rancid and the pickle literally tasted like cleaning fluid and had to be spit out. The food my daughter and husband ordered were not good either. The waitress didn't even comment on the fact that 75% of the food was still on our plates so this must be a common occurance. I'll be very surprised if this place is still here by next summer. YUCK!

I knew the minute I walked in, this was not going to be good. All of the help was about 16 years old. The menu clearly states sandwiches are served on either whole wheat or hard rolls. When I ordered my French Dip on a whole wheat roll, I was immediately told, they don't have whole wheat rolls. I told the waitress it was on the menu and she still insisted they don't have them. She brought me my soup with a teaspoon that was bent. When I got my food, the cole slaw was horrible, the sweet potato fries were cold and the roast beef on my sandwich was just short of being shoe leather. I sent in back and didn't want anything else. I live very nearby and I wanted it to be good so I would have a convenient place to go, but this was the worst food I have had in a very long time. I see that it is not as crowded as when it first opened as I pass there all of the time, so I guess other people feel the same way. Also, they make their workers park on the street behind the diner and that has become a eyesore for people that live there and also a hazard on a narrow two way street. I hope this place closes soon.

On June 2nd, 2009 my family and I visited the Four Seasons diner. On the breakfast menu there is an item listed as a "BENNY", an INSULTING term used by Jersey natives to DISCRIMINATE against New Yorkers. As a born and raised New Yorker, I found this to be VERY OFFENSIVE and PREDJUDICE. Especially for a business located in a shore community that depends on the business brought in to the area by folks (New Yorkers) that own weekend/summer homes here and tourists vacationing at the shore. I spoke to one of the Managers upon leaving the establishment expressing my disappointment in the mindset of the management to place such an insulting term on the menu. He did not seem to feel it was a big deal. I then informed him the we would NEVER PATRONIZE THE ESTABLISMENT AGAIN! They may survive the summer due to the tourists, but lets see how they fare the winter with the Toms River Snooties who don’t spend a dime, on anything except keeping up with the Jones. And by the way, those Jones are former New Yorkers. LOL

This was the best diner i have ever been to! I think it use to be a wawa and by looking around you would never know. The place is beautiful. Very warm atmosphere and great decor. I had the breakfast skillet which was delicious. I havent been able to find a place that can make these right until now. I went back a second time and had the chicken dinner special which was absolutely awesome. It came with a salad which was very fresh. Chicken was so tasty and i had to take home half of it because they gave me so much! My husband got the coconut shrimp and said it was the best he ever had! They came with this dipping sauce which was great! Booths are also very comfortable. I went there with my family of 5 and sat in a booth and had more than enough room. Will definately be going back!!!!

This place just opened after completely remodeling an old WAWA location. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and Pizza. Their motto is "The only thing Diner about us is our name". If it were a diner, the food would be better. We had breakfast here. They did a real nice job fixing the place up. It is very large, there are many tables and booths and a counter with stools. Breakfast was just OK. They give you a carafe of coffee which held 4 cups. I thought the coffee was good but my wife didn't like it. Her eggs over easy was runny. The home fries were hot but not that great. They were made from baking potatoes and were bland. They also come with toast, but my wife asked for 9 grain bread for her toast which cost extra and was not worth paying extra because it was just a different kind of bread. I had a pepper and egg sandwich on a Kaiser roll. It wasn't great. I've had better. The service was good however. Our server was pleasant. There was a lot of help and many customers at the time of this just opened place. My wife wants to come back and try their silver dollar pancakes. I think I'll wait until after the shore tourist season is over and try it in September or October. I would guess that there will be less business here by then.
