If you find yourself in this neighborhood for breakfast, take advantage of your geographically diminished situation and eat at The Good Egg Cafe, which seems almost too nice of a place for this rundown end of town. The urban earthy decor hint of Greenwich Village in the '70s as does the organic slant to their menu. They understand how to integrate lox and cream cheese in a tasty egg dish with generous portions that guarantee you will leave too full to bother with lunch. Service was adequate, though not overly extending but it was perfect if you just wanted to be left in the corner enjoying a heaping plate of well-cooked breakfast food with the morning paper. Not a place to take the kids as the atmosphere is not family oriented, and the prices are a little high if your kids tend to leave most of their food on the plate.

They do egg dishes very well here. The service was very friendly, but a tad slow... I waited a long time for the waitress to get ketchup for my hash (you know that feeling - how your hash is getting cold and you can't find your waitress). Other than that, good food!
