I really don't understand why people recommend this place so much. The coffee was watery with a dash of cardboard--far below average diner quality. I got the "Blue Ox" combo platter and my friend got the Hash Omelette, both of which had been recommended to us. Both were terrible. The eggs were tasteless and overcooked, the hash was mealy and bland (the word "sawdust" featured in his verdict), and the pancakes were starchy and flavourless. Absolutely abysmal. The only slight upside were the home fries, which weren't bad. I have no idea why this place is a local favourite, and I will never return.

Food was fab--Jen knows how to make an egg "over medium", a rarity these days. But the entertainment was non-stop--lots of laughs and camradarie between sisters and their mom. I could live there.

endless coffee refills, best family run restaurant, this is what family and good friends are all about. Think of it as dinner and a movie or comedy night at the apollo. You've got to go and experience jen's place. They are open 5am to 2 pm everyday. Ask if they can bring back lunch on saturdays. You'll love it

Jens place is a awesome place to go to get nice homemade corn beef hash. I'm visting from Texas we were there in brunswick for 4 days and we went 3 of the days to jens. I tried her grits which were awesome. and our waitress Cori was the best she got what ever we needed. I will totally go back any day.

I have seen alot of small dinners in my day and it is really nice to come in to a place where everyone knows everyone. I loved her hash and her grits. My food was great and she was busy cooking but JEN STILL SEEMED TO NOTICE ALL THE PEOPLE COMING IN AND MADE SURE SHE SAID HI TO EVERYONE. EVERYONE SEEMED TO KNOW HER TOO. My waitress was Jen's Mother and was very friendly. It was really nice to hear everyone calling either mom or dad as her dad is also the prep cook there. You dont see a lot of families working together anymore. It was a breath of fresh air. I would recommend this restraunt to anyone who misses down home cooking and family atmosheare.

This is an exceptionally warm, friendly, home-from-home place that reminds me of CHEERS without the beers (last time I was there - best omelette ever! - even the waitress was pregnant!)

For people who like breakfast and don't keep 'regular' hours? Best.

We waited 15 minutes after ordering waters, our waitress took 3 other tables orders who came in after us. She went over to the front of the store and started reading something. We walked out. We went to Brunswick diner.

Jen's Place has some very good food! A lot of great choices for breakfast! The hash seems to be the biggest hit. The only problem is the service... my waitresses wasn't very good.

Ate there on July 5th, service was awful, staff arguing, 2 tables that arrived after us were served before us. They ran out of orange juice, We had only forks at the table, asked for knives, the waitress fished them out of the dirty sink water wiped them on a towel and brought them over. One of the prep chefs left with a waitress yelling at him" If you cant be a team player, dont come back" We were charged for an order of bacon that never came. It was boiling hot, guessing the Air Con quit. The worst experience in a restaurant ever....went on the recomendations of this site...so dissapointing.

What a great menu! The food was great and so was the service. If you happen to stop in when Carol is working you will surely have some good laughs with her and the gang. I love the at home atmosphere. It is a must try and return. Jen you have a gold mine there!!!

I am a visitor from Southern CA. The food was incredible. The service was awesome. Our server Shawnda went over the top to make sure we had our coffe refilled, and had everything that we might like. or need So, a 5 star resturaunt, a 5 star server. Trust me, I have been in many upper scale resturaunts and not received the pleasure that I experienced at Jen's in Brunswick. I look forward to returning

I've eaten breakfast in restaurants all around this country, and I'd have to say that this was definitely one of the best experiences ever. We went there from a Mr. Breakfast review, and am so grateful for this site. The food was absolutely phenomenal, sausage gravy over sweet potato biscuits (amazing), crab benedict (scrumptious), home fries like I wish every restaurant served!! She's only been open a month, and the place is hopping, with no name on the front of the restaurant yet, just word of mouth! We were just visiting, and ended up eating there 3 mornings in a row! We like to try new things, but, oh well, when you find something that is great you stick with it! We're from Maryland, and I'll be dreaming about Jen's Place for a while to come! No worries Jen, you will be on the food network some day! Peace, The Colvins!

Jen's Place is new and I decided to give it a try...not all that much choice for breakfast in Brunswick. Interior is rustic going on super basic, but the food was great. I had the Crab Benedict. Generous portion of crab, two nicely done poached eggs and the hollandaise sauce was really good. Just a hint of lemony tart in it. Yum. The plate came with basic, good home fries and some fruit.

I will definitely go back again and try some other items on the menu. I heard a guy sitting near me going on and on about the hash, so I guess that's what I'll try next time.

A welcome addition to the breakfast scene in Brunswick.
