How does the city of St Louis health dept let these people operate with all the greasy dust in the ceiling around the vents, it,s a wonder some don't fall in to peoples food? When i looked around this place , i knew i would never come here again because it is possible to have good food in a cleaner place. My plate look like it was given a lick and a promise in a hand dish washing, i wanted to look back in that area to see if my son was washing them because that is how he does...ha ha. The man in the back started cussing the cook and she had to remind him that children were present, so that meant it was ok to cuss if grown ups were the only ones there. I wasn't going to use the toilet, but i believe that was it behind the greasy brown door right next to our table. Yuk

I was over charged for the wrong order that the owner refused to change or even compensate. customer service was extremly poor food was horrible. I wouldn't even refer my worst enemy to this establishment. I would suggest People not patronize this place. This place was the worst experience that I have ever had in an establishment.

The buttery's pancakes are fantastic! Their coffee isnt the best but its definitly drinkable. And it does get empty occasionally. But my buddy got a bacon burger (which wasnt even on the menu, but the waitress was awsome!) The bacon was crisp and there was ALOT! The food all came at the same time and it was hot, and she did a good job making sure we were happy. Overall the Buttery gets a strong 4 out of 5 eggs! I shall be frequenting this establishment.
