we have gone to Carriage House since the late 80's, always, always have been so pleased, BUT, this past sunday morning was really bad.
#1. The waitress spilled our coffee, left and yelled for the busboy to clean it up. No apology
#2. When I picked up my cup to get a drink I noticed a lipstick outline on the cup, it was RED, We pointed this out to the waitress and her comment was : Oh, sorry, I didn't see it, it was so small,by the way, I do not wear lipstick! no more carriage house

The chicken-fried steak and egg plate ($7.95 on Sundays) comes with choice of hash browns, home fries, or fruit, plus 2 biscuits and gravy. (I think you can choose toast instead of biscuits.) You get a lot of food, so it's a good value for the money. The steak itself was probably a frozen patty, though, which had been deep fried. The white gravy was pretty standard. It didn't have sausage in it, which is a good thing, in my opinion, when it's served on a steak. Scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. I didn't much care for the home fries which had large pieces of green pepper and onion in them, but if you like that sort of thing, you'll probably like these!
