The staff might enjoy being there because there is no pressure on them to actually work. The wait staff are so slow, it might be dinnertime when you get lunch. The menu is pretentious, to say the least, as well as pricey. I don't mind the cost, though, since I don't have to tip well.

We go often because the food is always good, the staff is great, they seem to enjoy being there. They still have the old fashioned ice cream sodas with the glass and the metal mixing container!

I highly recommend a visit to Monty's. Plan on waiting on weekends.
