We live about 65 miles away and don't get to Owensboro very much but when we do old hickory is always the place we go to eat, the service is wonderful and the food is amazing!!!! I have family that lives in Virginia and when we go to visit mutton and burgoo is one thing we definitely have to take with us, we get it frozen and take extra dip, I would drive a million miles just to eat here, it's so worth it!!! Also I have a friend who never heard of mutton or burgoo and now she's hooked , will definitely be Goin there soon to stock up

I loved this restaurant so much. If possible, take a day and go to Kentucky and get this barbeque. It is the best barbequre in America hands down. My daughter Vada is a very picky eater and she even loved this place. I would give it a perfect 10.

In the Barbeque capital of the World - Owensboro, Ky. barbeque has only one king. Old Hickory! My favorite item on the menu is their sliced pork. Perfection.....to say the lest. Other items that are a step above are the baked beans, mutton, burgoo, potato salad, and the pork ribs are killer! Don't waste time at other barbeque resturants....go straight to the best.

Old Hickory has the best barbeque I have ever tasted. It is a homestyle enviroment with friendly down to earth empoloyees. There is also a speedy drive through. Specialties include Mutton and Burgoo. Located in the city named the barbeque capital of the world Owensboro, KY.
