We used to come here for the small animal zoo and the Drive In Movies back in the 60s. Now revisited, the place is cozy, the service is fair to middling, but the prices are getting up there. We had Ruebens, they were plentiful and tasty and the fries were delicious, but right along Main street in Taylor, PA another restaurant has excellent Ruebens too and the price is about $1.50 less than the Barrel.

We Just come up for the summer to eagle lake and we go for breakfast at the barrel every morring but when we come up last week and went for breakfast the cook that was there i think his name is sam is no longer there and there food is not made as well as it used to be the owner really let a very good worker go your food would come out very fast now you have to wait ! I really don't think we will go there to eat anymore! the waitress was not very friendly i asked for more coffee and she seemed like i was bothering her.

Went for breakfast at the barrel and there food is alsome, there cook in the morring is a very good cook i won't eat breakfast any where else hope the cook stays there for a long time ! the coffee is very fresh ! the waitress is very friendly !

The Barrel has the BEST breakfast in the area... I've tried them all! They also have a frequent dining card-GREAT. Their HOME-COOKING, friendly, clean atmosphere is decorated just like home. LOVE IT!!! MUCH bigger on inside than it looks on the outside-4 dining areas. Oh, it's only 5 1/2 miles from Lake Scranton and couple miles from RT 380. MUST TRY IT!!!

They have a cook there his name is Sam he is a very good cook you can sit at the couter and he cooks in front of you ! you can see him cook everyones food ! he makes the best hotdogs and It Sausage sandwichs you can find ! they are famous for there texas winers and rootbeer soda ! It is a land make of moscow ! back in the day there used to be a little drive in movie !
