My wife and I had breakfast here while on vacation in Portland. It was absolutely awesome. While it's sometimes hard to judge a place by only eating one thing, based on how incredible The Reggie and the biscuits and gravy was, I can't imagine anything isn't wonderful. And since the whole menu is based on the biscuit, which was one of the best I've had, it all must be good. Also to note, they serve Stumptown Coffee, which is quite tasty and a Portland local.
A couple thoughts about the place that are things I loved, that aren't for everyone: It's VERY laid back and informal. You order at the front counter and find a table. It's not a big place and when I was there it was very full, so finding a table can be hard. When your order is up your name is called and you go grab your plate. Coffee is self-serve. When you're done you bus your table, somewhat cafeteria style. It's a very kicked back atmosphere, with delicious food. I will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in town.

An article in USA Today just said that Pine State Biscuits has "delectable gut-busting breakfast biscuits stuffed with delicious fillers." Yeah! The eating area here is small, but the food is HUGE... hugely delicious!
