I stopped this morning for the first time, seemed busy, but didn't wait long at all for a table, maybe 5 min. Greeted very warmly by the owner, Heather, she also was my waitress. Ordered the pancetta hash, VERY YUMMY. They diced sweet potaoes adds a unexpected sweetness to a otherwise savory hash. Wish they had more seating, but it's so nice to have a restaurant in this area that offers food that isn't from a "chain" (IHOP,Denny's,Steak/Shake). And from someone who loves to try new dishes, this place is tops. Can't wait to go back.

I went on a Saturday morning. The owner greeted me and waited on me! How often do you see that! I think that's great :) I ordered the pumpkin pancakes with a glass of fresh squeezed o.j. My wife ordered the salmon omlette with spinach and feta hashbrowns. Hands down, best breakfast and service we have experienced in a long time! Bourbonnais has a little touch of Chicago!

Sunday morning, busiest morning, owner not even in the building, hostess 'forgot' to show up, waitress nervous and volunteered too much info on the owner, sitting at the counter one could watch the cook 'taste' the sauce, with his finger. Honey granola too thick for pancakes. Biscuits and gravy just mediocre. Trying to emulate Toast in Chicago? Send the cook up there for breakfast, and keep his fingers out of his mouth. Staff complaining about too much work, they should be grateful for all the business, or there won't be any.

I dined at this restaurant on a Sunday morning and I was very excited when I saw the menu and ordered the Salmon Omelette which was very good. However, I was very disappointed that it literally took 25 minutes to get our food. Maybe it was because we sat outside and there was only 1 waiter... Great food.... poor service.

Our first visit today--glad to see something new in town. Friendly atmosphere but a little crowded and warm temperature. Flies were a little annoying. Ordered french toast, but by 10:30 they were "out", so I assume they went to buy bread since we didn't change our order. Service therefore was slow. Strawberries were not fresh but frozen, and the portion of fruit was very small. Not likely to go back.

With unusual breakfast items like creme brulee french toast and corned beef hash made with sweet potatoes it adds a "zing" to going out for breakfast... at lunch we had the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had... juicy corned beef with very mild sauerkraut and a nice dressing.
