Their breakfast menu isn't very big, but it's reasonably price at about seven dollars per entree. Don't look for pancakes or waffles here. It's all authentic style Mexican breakfasts. I've had the Huevos Con Chorizo and the Chilaquiles there and I was very happy with both of them. The chorizo dish was my favorite of the two. If you're looking for a Mexican-style breakfast and want more than the usual breakfast burrito, I'd give Dona Rosa a try.

In the San Gabriel Valley, there are many, many Mexican restaurants and Mexican fast food joints that offer Red Menudo on their menus, but very seldom are they any good because they often cut corners. At last, Dona Rosa does it right.

Dona Rosa is a fast food place that features Mexican food & Mexican Bakery sweet breads. On a whim, I stopped by to treat myself to a Mexican breakfast and sample their Red Menudo and boy, was it delicious! The red broth is made just right, neither greasy nor watery, with generous portions of both hominy and honeycomb beef tripe. AND - at least in my soup bowl and my dining partner's soup bowl - there weren't any bones for me to break my teeth on!

Dona Rosa offers their Red Menudo ALL DAY on SAT & SUN Only.

Their hot Mexican beverage, Champurrado, is highly recommended, too.
