What a great breakfast, even at 6:00 at night! No pancakes at that hour but the homemade cornbeef hast, biscuits, PB&J omelet and the desserts! Out of this world. Great service, very friendly. Made this Jersey boy feel right at home. Why 4 not 5 eggs? It could have been a little cleaner.

The best brunch restaurant in Kansas City. The staff treats you like roalty and the owners make you feel like a part of their family. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. I highly recommend Bell Street Mama's for brunch or any meal!

Bell Street Mama's at 39th and Bell in Kansas City is easy to overlook, but once you've been there you'll never forget it. The sheer variety of breakfast choices is rather overwhelming. They boast a whopping 51 different omelettes, from peanut butter, jelly, and banana to green beans, bacon, and onion to chicken salad, Swiss, and tomato. You can also choose your own ingredients if for some reason you can't find one you like among the 51 offered on the menu.

Now I don't like omelettes, so my usual fare is 2 fried eggs, toast, fried potatoes with gravy, bacon (which is very tasty and not flattened to a tasteless strip) AND pancakes. Of course, I can't finish it all, but everything is so good, I want to taste a little bit of each.

My friend usually gets the corned beef hash - called Mama's "Legal" Hash on the menu. They make their own corned beef and the hash, so it's much better than the canned version I remember from my childhood.

The generous portions and great service (not to mention the wonderful food!) make Bell Street Mama's a great place to stop for breakfast anytime.
