This place is one of my faves! I cant believe the poor review- probably a jealous competetor or maybe they were busy.
Sometimes they get a little forgetful with a full house- theres usualy only two servers- the owners!
My favorite thing to get is the wootens portuguese
French toast!! The best!

I can't understand the poor review here. (I would prefer a stronger coffee too. But the flavor is good and plenty refills) This is not your average breakfast nook. (go to cornercafenewport and check the menu!) My wife and I shared a "Dodgy Bob" omelet which was superb and the Hollandaise was genuine. The homefries had more spices (basil) than most, which to us was an improvement. We were lucky to have the owner for waitperson, as he had a very energetic and cheerful atttude and was more than happy to do special orders for the patrons. This is definitely our go-to place for breakfast in Newport!
